CHEROKEE, Iowa (KTIV) - The first bell for the new school year is ringing in districts across Siouxland, and a Northwest Iowa healthcare center is making sure kids are ready to go back to school.
The Cherokee Regional Medical Center hosted its second annual Back to School Health Fair on Thursday, Aug. 14.
Doctors helped children stay up to date on those required school immunizations and lead screenings. They also offered free dental screenings and haircuts.
The event was created to give parents a “one-stop shop” to get their kids ready to go back to school.
