The Nintendo Switch 2 launched just over two months ago with millions of gamers picking up the brand new console in their droves. Sadly, the latest generation of Nintendo games also rings in a new era of pricing with physical editions of Mario Kart World costing £74.99 and Donkey Kong Bananza £64.99.

That's up to a £15 premium on the top dollar that Nintendo was charging for games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey last generation, making the new Nintendo Switch 2 only more expensive to maintain. Thankfully, the console maker has ensured that the new device has backwards compatibility, meaning that most older games for the original Switch will work on the new one.
