DAPHNE, Ala. ( WALA ) - A horrific crime in Daphne has left a family of four is dead, including two children. Sheriff’s investigators said it’s the result of an apparent murder-suicide and has left the quiet community in shock.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the person responsible for this unthinkable act is 44-year-old Kenneth Oliver Smith, Jr. Investigators said forensic and circumstantial evidence point to that conclusion. The three victims have been identified as 41-year-old Larrica Gaines Smith, 15-year-old Khristian Smith and 11-year-old Kinsley Smith.

“It’s just a very, very tragic feeling. To say I’m in shock, yes, I’m still in shock,” neighbor, Matt Russell said.
