CHURCH HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -- One of the largest employers in one Midstate county is expanding and has plans to add 120 manufacturing jobs.
Philips announced Thursday a $150 Million investment in manufacturing and R&D, which they say will expand production of AI-powered health technology.
This comes with the addition of 24,000 square feet of manufacturing space to their plant in Armagh Township, Mifflin County, between Milroy and Reedsville.
Company executives were on hand for the announcement Thursday at the plant which employs about 600 people already. It's the fifth largest employer in Mifflin County.
"This is our biggest manufacturing site in the U.S.," Jeff Cohen, Global Lead of Ultrasound Technology for Phillips, told abc27 News. The plant focuses on healthcare ultrasound technology
