August is shaping up to be a busy, and boozy, month if the city's liquor and beer board agenda is any indication.

On Friday, the board will hear six requests, the most in a month this year, from businesses hoping to obtain new liquor licenses or have their current ones amended.

The six pack includes three requests for new liquor and beer licenses and three for premises modifications.

Cerberus Brewing is not planning a permanent expansion but rather seeking a permit to use its surrounding area for seating and serving as part of its ninth anniversary party.

“We’re planning to have a vendor market in the parking lot, a pig roast and an adoption event,” said Melissa Lefebvre. “And of course, all of this, we think, should be paired with our craft brews.”
