BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Three bounty hunters are facing felony home invasion charges after prosecutors said they kicked in the door to the apartment of an LSU graduate student as they looked for someone who had skipped out of court.

That female LSU student called 911 to report that three men wearing what she thought were police uniforms were demanding that she open her door. When she didn’t, investigators said the men kicked the door in as she ran to hide in a bathroom. That door was then kicked in, too.

“It is an extremely chilling phone call where she fears she is going to die,” District Attorney Hillar Moore said.
