PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, pay-to-park hours will be expanded to 10 p.m. in the Downtown Portland parking district, according to the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
PBOT says the parking hours in the Downtown parking district, which covers downtown Portland, Old Town and the Pearl District, will be changing to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
The parking hour extension comes with the implementation of the new “5 after 5″ rule, which allows people to pay for parking for up to five starting at 5 p.m. in the Downtown, Central Eastside, and Lloyd parking districts.
The City of Portland is expanding parking hours district by district through the end of 2025.
The Northwest parking district will be the next to expand hours
