Triple-A Buffalo didn’t offer the same welcome that Trey Yesavage has become accustomed to over his impressive first season in the pros.

The Toronto Blue Jays‘ top pitching prospect made his debut with the Bisons on Thursday, stumbling through 1.2 innings of work. He gave up two runs on one hit while allowing four walks and striking out three against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

In a 35-pitch first inning, the 20th-overall pick from 2004 issued three walks and surrendered a hit, including a wild pitch to fall behind 2-0 against the Philadelphia Phillies’ top farm club.

One of the walks came on a 3-2 pitch that was overturned to a ball by the automated ball-strike system, bringing home a run instead of recording his first triple-A strikeout.
