It looks like we're in for a significant weather pattern change here across our region, and it's one that brings the heat!

Were expecting a prolonged heat wave that is really starting to grip our region, and we're expecting it to stick around, peaking over the weekend and into early next week.

We'll be keeping a very close eye on these persistent temperatures, which are shaping up to be unseasonably warm for this time of year. Expect daily highs generally in the lower to middle 90s through much of the upcoming week. What's particularly concerning is the humidity, with heat indices – that’s the "feels like" temperature – set to approach or even soar past the triple digits.
