CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois football returns 16 starters from last seasons 10 win team but they also have new players with transfers and freshman ready to make their mark for the program.

One of the freshman is Mt. Zion's very own Brayden Trimble. Trimble joined the team early to get a a head start on prep which he said is the best decision he could have made to get ready for the 2025 season.

And in spring and fall camp Trimble said all of the receivers have welcomed him and helped him grow and understand football and the college level.
