MURRAY — The Intermountain Medical Center in Murray lost regular power on Thursday and was forced to operate on generators, a spokesperson said.
Jess Gomez with Intermountain Health said essential areas — like ICUs, ventilators and surgery units — were still running thanks to the generators, but common areas were without power.
The hospital asked incoming patients to go to other nearby hospitals, and ambulances were being diverted to other hospitals as well.
KSL verified that the power was still out at the facility just after 1 p.m.
Intermountain was working with Rocky Mountain Power to get the power restored, Gomez said.
