Scottsdale City Council’s last regular meeting was July 2 – with a two-month break planned until the next regular meeting, Aug. 25.

But last week, Mayor Lisa Borowsky called her colleagues in for a special meeting at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18.

The topic: WestWorld Operations Update.

In a study session format, Council will hear a presentation from Judy Doyle, senior director of the city’s Enterprise Operations, on infrastructure improvements, projects, events and a strategic plan.

Details of the presentation were not provided as of press time.

As Borowsky puts it, “WestWorld of Scottsdale is more than just a venue — it’s the beating heart of our city’s vibrant equestrian community and a significant driver of our local economy.”
