WEBBER, Kan. (KSNW) -- A fugitive wanted in Nebraska was captured near a Kansas lake.
The Jewell County Sheriff's Office says it happened at Lovell Lake on Thursday.
The sheriff's office received information from the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism that a suspect with a felony warrant out of Adams County, Nebraska, was in the park at the Lovell State Reservoir.
Deputies responded and spotted the suspect leaving the park. After a traffic stop, the man was taken into custody without incident.
A passenger was temporarily detained but was released with the vehicle shortly thereafter. No other details have been released.
