An Air National Guard service member was ejected from a military fighter jet on the tarmac at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield on Tuesday, WWLP reported.

At around 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, a “ground mishap” happened on the flightline involving two crew members of an F-15D Eagle aircraft, the news station reported. One of the crew members had been ejected from the military jet.

After the ejection, the service member was taken to the hospital to be evaluated, but no one was hurt, WWLP wrote.
