COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– One of South Carolina’s main thoroughfares is getting a touch up.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation held a groundbreaking ceremony for I-95 widening and improvements project Thursday morning, Aug. 14, in Jasper County.
Officials say this project, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Transportation, will widen and improve I-95 from the Savannah River to US-278, or 10 miles.
South Carolina Department of Transportation has over $7 billion in projects right now happening in every county in South Carolina.
