It's down to the final days for guests to experience a thrill ride at Universal Studios Florida.

The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster will permanently close on Aug. 18 to make way for a new experience.

It's unclear what's coming in its place. However, Chopper 2 video shows work is already underway, with construction walls up and machinery moving dirt.

The thrill ride first opened in August 2009. At first, Universal Orlando said the ride would close this September.

With the closing date moved up a month, it seems Universal is moving full speed ahead on this replacement.

The last day to ride is Aug. 17. No word on when the new attraction will open.
