ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

The Albuquerque Police Department charged Alexis Monrroy, 19, and five juveniles in connection to the fatal shooting of Frank Howard , 45, on July 2, 2025. The ages of the juveniles range from 12 years old to 19 years old.

On Aug. 14, 2025, Judge Garcia ordered the 15-year-old to remain in custody pending trial. According to prosecutors, he is the alleged shooter in the death of Howard. The 15-year-old suspect is currently being held at the Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Center.
