Attorney General Dana Nessel has struck on a brilliant idea. She is advising the Legislature to withhold funding to the Michigan Economic Development Corp. until it comes clean on how a Gov. Gretchen Whitmer donor/appointee/Democratic crony was promised $20 million in business development funds she had no detailed plans for spending on the state’s behalf.

Appearing last Sunday on WDIV’s Flashpoint program, Nessel told host Jason Colthorp the MEDC is stonewalling an investigation into the grant from the Legislature that went to Fay Beydoun. The MEDC was charged with overseeing the appropriation. Nessel, whose team raided Beydoun’s Farmington Hills home and the MEDC Lansing offices in June, said the deeper she digs into the scandal and the MEDC’s apparent cover-up, it becomes clearer, “perh
