It’s been over 10 years since the Michigan football team has had a wide receiver crack 1,000 yards in a season. Sure, it’s a lofty goal that only a select few receivers in the nation can say they’ve reached, but it’s still something to strive for.

The Wolverines aren’t necessarily a team touted for their wide receiver room, but when their top two wide receivers last season failed to combine for even 400 yards, it was clear there was a problem .

“That’s something we talk about,” wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy said Monday. “Obviously, as a group, our goal is to win, beat our rivals, win a conference and win a national championship. But the guys do have individual goals, and they understand the history of the receiver room in Michigan.”
