One of three men will soon become Fort Worth’s next police chief. The finalists are Interim Chief Robert Alldredge Jr., Former Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, and former Dallas Deputy Chief Vernon Hale.
During a public forum Thursday evening at Fort Worth City Hall, each candidate made a case for why they’re right for the job. While sitting on a panel, they were given two minutes to make opening statements before answering questions.
Interim Chief Alldredge has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, with majority at the Fort Worth Police Department. He’s served in several capacities, including patrol, tactical operations, and the Finance and Personnel Bureau.
