Elks Soccer Shootout

The Santa Maria Elks Lodge will host its annual Soccer Shootout Saturday, Aug. 23 on the grassy area at the Elks Lodge at 1309 North Bradley Road in Santa Maria.

The competition is not an actual soccer game. Participants will score points when they kick the ball into a goal. The event is free, and no experience is required to participate. All children under the age of 13 are eligible. Age will be calculated as of Jan. 1, 2025.

Registration and shootout will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 12 p.m. Tie breakers will be determined by 12:30 p.m.

There will be separate contests for boys and girls in four age groups; seven-and-under, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. The top three placers in each boys and girls age division will receive awards and a free soccer ball at a dinner cerem
