St. Joseph has hired former Lompoc High School and Hancock College standout Danielle Morgan as its new head girls basketball coach.
St. Joseph hired Morgan in July. Morgan replaces Kristina Santiago, who stepped down after three seasons.
Morgan assisted her mother, Claudia Terrones, on the Lompoc girls varsity basketball staff last season. Claudia Terrrones is Lompoc's veteran athletics director as well as girls basketball coach.
Morgan graduated from Lompoc in 2018. She averaged 17 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists a game there. She currently teaches special education in Lompoc.
"I accepted the job (at St. Joseph) after having conversations with Kristina Santiago, (St. Joseph athletics director) Tom Mott and other staff members at St. Joseph," said Morgan.
"Kristina has fully supp
