BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. — Elonzo Milla was just 10 minutes away from moving into his freshman year dorm at Georgia College & State University when his roommate sent him a text.
"My roommate texted the group chat and said, 'The water's out right now, so I can't really do anything,'" Milla said.
A major water main break on Blandey Road , just off the Milledgeville campus , had left the university without running water during one of the busiest days of the year — freshman move-in day. The outage lasted approximately four hours.
For Milla, who drove from Atlanta with his parents to move in, the timing couldn't have been worse.
