MINNEAPOLIS -- For the second time in a week, the Tigers rallied in support of Tarik Skubal on an off night for the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner. Colt Keith celebrated his 24th birthday with a go-ahead run on Gleyber Torres ’ 11th-inning sacrifice fly, sending Detroit to a 4-3 win over Minnesota on Thursday night at Target Field.

Keith, whose sixth-inning RBI single tied the game and brought Detroit back from an early 3-0 deficit, began the 11th inning on second base after flying out to end the top of the 10th. Former Tiger Erasmo Ramírez advanced Keith to third on a wild pitch, putting him in position to score on Torres’ fly ball to deep right.
