MANCHESTER, N.H. —

On Thursday, volunteers filled 4,210 donated backpacks with school supplies and healthy snacks to help Granite State students start the school year strong.

The backpacks and supplies were collected during WMUR's annual "Pack a Pack" campaign, held last Friday.

WMUR partnered again this year with the Boys and Girls Clubs in New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Food Bank and Service Credit Union.

Items in the backpacks included ballpoint pens, gluesticks, 12-inch rulers, erasers, colored pencils, spiral notebooks, #2 pencils, folders, scissors and pencil sharpeners.
