MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The New Hampshire State Marine Patrol is investigating the death of a Massachusetts man on Lake Winnisquam in Tilton.

Officials said they first received a report of the incident around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Investigators believe 81-year-old Jack Bilodeau was swimming after his boat started drifting near Mohawk Island.

Witnesses said they saw Bilodeau having a possible medical emergency in the water.

A good Samaritan pulled him out and tried to revive him, but he did not survive.
