If the old adage holds true that offense wins games, but defense wins championships, then the Pymatuning Valley Lakers should be well positioned for a run at their seventh consecutive Northeastern Athletic Conference football championship this season.

Seven of the team’s top defenders return from a 2024 squad that finished 10-2 overall, won a playoff game and finished unbeaten in NAC play for the fifth consecutive season.
