A surge of monsoon moisture will move into New Mexico Friday. This will bring more showers and storms across the state through next week.
Temperatures continue to heat up Thursday afternoon across New Mexico with high temperatures climbing back above average for this time of year. Southeast New Mexico hovered around 100° today. More showers and storms popped up across the western two-thirds of the state this afternoon. Most of the showers only produced light rain. These showers have mostly ended tonight, but a few spotty showers will continue in western New Mexico into Friday morning.
