WASHINGTON — Federal safety regulators announced Thursday that about 40,000 Wolfgang Puck-branded petite tea kettles are being recalled after reports that their infuser basket lids can fall off during use, posing a burn risk.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said the recall affects 14-ounce stainless steel kettles sold in beige, black, pink and red. The products were sold with removable tea infuser baskets through HSN.com and the HSN television network from August 2020 through January 2025 for about $20, CPSC said.

Affected kettles have “Wolfgang Puck Petite Kettle” printed on the underside. They also feature one of six lot codes: 022020, 022021, 022022, 042022, 022023 or 032023.

The kettles were manufactured in China and imported by Synergy Housewares LLC of Coconut
