Bay Park families frustrated by overnight construction

The city of San Diego has been fielding complaints from some Bay Park residents losing sleep over its water project.

The first phase of Pure Water San Diego is under construction overnight at the intersection of Clairemont Drive and Denver Street.

“Constant beep, beep, beep with trucks,“ neighbor Sue Riddell said.

“It’s been torture,” said Linn McClanahan, another neighbor.

McClanahan lives a block east on Erie Street. She suffers through dump trucks and detoured traffic during the day and night.

“They never told anybody on Erie that all the detours would come down here, that all the dump trucks would come down here,” McClanahan said.

On opposite corners of the construction is court stenographer Sandy Smith.
