A video about a woman's impulsive home makeover—inspired by a late-night Pinterest scroll—that quickly turned into an "instant" mistake has gone viral on TikTok .

In the video by TikTok user @sundaykeeps , which has amassed over 963,000 views since it was posted on August 9, the woman begins her day with a confident vision.

"Last night I was scrolling on Pinterest and I saw this picture [a hallway painted dark green] and naturally, I woke up this morning and now I have to do it," she says in a voiceover.

The woman's goal was to update her "sad, boring...white on black" hallway and inject "some life" into the space. Initially, she intended only to "paint this one wall and have this be a focal point," but the project soon expanded. She ultimately decided to paint the entire hallway,
