The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is facing internal pressure after one of its members, Kenneth Bwanali, issued a strong ultimatum to the party leadership over the continued absence of its presidential candidate, Professor Peter Mutharika, from the campaign trail.
In a letter addressed to the party, Bwanali expressed concern that while other presidential hopefuls are actively engaging voters ahead of the September elections, Mutharika has not been seen at major rallies or public events. He warned that the silence is damaging the party’s image and fueling public speculation.
