A Partick street has been taped off by officers after a man was rushed to hospital following an alleged 'disturbance'.

Officers were called to the Chancellor Street area at around 8.10pm on Thursday, August 14, following reports of an incident. A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition remains unknown at this stage.

Police say that a 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, August 15.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.10pm, police received a report of a disturbance in Chancellor Street, Glasgow. Emergency services attended and one man, aged 33 was taken to hospital.
