BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 15-year-old boy was chased down by police officers in Brooklyn for allegedly having a gun on July 26, body camera video from the NYPD showed.

Police said shots were fired around 5 p.m. on East 49th Street. The 15-year-old suspect fled the scene, with officers pursuing him for two blocks, according to authorities.

Police said the officers managed to detain him on East 45th Street. The body camera video showed one of the officers pulling out what looks like a 9mm firearm from the boy’s pants pocket.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities.
