MADISON, Wis. -- A victim in the crash on U.S. Highway 151 was flown to the hospital via medflight for serious injuries, according to a press release from Madison Police.

Madison Police was dispatched Thursday night to U.S. Highway 151 at around 9:12 p.m. for a motorcycle accident.

One witness said the motorcycle hit the back of a vehicle. When officers arrived they found the motorcyclist lying on the road. The 23-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital via medflight.

The crash left northbound lanes closed for several hours.

There were no other injuries reported and police are still investigating.
