A man wanted on suspicion of kidnapping was found by police after being seriously injured in south Manchester.

Officers attended Hall Lane, in Wythenshawe , at 2.34pm on Thursday (August 14).

Images from the scene showed a cordon in place on Thursday afternoon, with police tape surrounding a white Ford van.

Evidence markers could also be seen placed on the road, with forensics investigators working at the scene.

Multiple Greater Manchester Police vehicles were also seen in attendance.

GMP confirmed that officers were called out to reports of an assault.

The wanted man, aged 38, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
