CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A man convicted in the 1975 murder of Bedford Heights Police Detective William Prochazka, was just granted parole.

Michael Manns, George Clayton, Dwain Farrow, and Duran Harris were all convicted and sentenced to death; however, in 1978 the death penalty was overturned and they received life sentences.

The family of Detective Prochazka has been fighting for decades to keep his killers behind bars, but on Thursday, members of the Ohio Parole Board ruled Clayton can be released on parole in October.

Farrow has a hearing in front of the parole board next month.

Manns will remain in prison until at least March 2031, which is his next scheduled parole hearing.

And, Harris, the getaway driver, got of prison in 2003, without the family being notified.
