THE pregnant wife of NBA star Danilo Gallinari was attacked by a shark when swimming with her children.

Eleonora Boi shared the ordeal of the attack, which took place in Puerto Rico.

She was swimming in the ocean with her two young children when she suddenly felt a strong pain in her thigh.

The Italian told Good Morning America , "I have to say, I'm traumatized.

"I felt a strong pain, and my thigh was burning, but my idea was, 'maybe it's a huge jellyfish'.

"But in the reality, it wasn't a jellyfish.

"I started crying and screaming and I was screaming for help in Italian."

Husband Gallinari rushed to help his wife and dragged her to safety, while a bystander fetched a towel to apply to the wound.
