Roma have contacted Manchester United to discuss signing Jadon Sancho on loan.

Sancho is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and has been training on his own at Carrington since Chelsea opted against signing him permanently after a loan stint last season.

Chelsea paid a £5million penalty fee to break their obligation to sign Sancho. The winger has been looking for a new club and Roma have contacted United to discuss the terms of a loan, with an obligation included.

Roma have proposed a season-long loan with an obligation to Sancho for £20million next summer.

Sancho was heavily linked with Juventus earlier in the transfer window, but that interest has cooled and Roma have now emerged as the front runners to sign the outcast 25-year-old.
