The 2025 World Transplant Games will be held in Dresden, Germany from Aug. 17-24.

It's an Olympic-style showcase of 17 sporting events will feature athletes from around the world competing and celebrating the gift of life. The games are also a stage to promote the importance of tissue and organ donation.

Two Greenville natives will be on a quest for gold as they prepare to leave ahead of the weekend. Allen Stancil is a heart transplant recipient, and Kristen McCall is a two time kidney recipient.
