The Democratic running for governor in South Carolina is responding after a video was released of his profanity-laced tirade during a May arrest in Charleston.

The video from the Charleston Police Department was taken about 9:30 p.m. on May 14 after officers were called to the King Street area about a man, later identified as Mullins McLeod, walking along The Battery screaming.

In the video McLeod is heard yelling profanities, racial slurs and threats during the ride to the detention center.
