STARKVILLE, Miss. (WLBT) - A Starkville woman has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death.

According to the Starkville Police Department, officers responded to the reported stabbing at a home on Gladney Street around 12:57 a.m. on Thursday.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, later identified as Tykell Harvey, 27, of Starkville, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Amiya Brown of Starkville, who has since been charged with first-degree murder.

It was also determined that the two were in a dating relationship.

Starkville Police said Brown is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail.
