HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Two men were arrested for organizing a prostitution and drug operation from a storefront in Hartford, police said.

Mauricio Rojas, 43, of Hartford, and Carlos Camaro, 33, also of Hartford, were taken into custody on Aug. 13.

Police said their investigation centered on the Mi Ranchito store on Park Street.

“In the course of the investigation it was determined that the store was a front to mask the illegal sale of sex, alcohol, and narcotics from within the basement,” said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, Hartford police.

On Aug. 13, a search and seizure warrant was approved and executed at the store.

The basement was found to have an unlicensed bar, rentable pool tables, and individual small rooms utilized for the sale of sexual acts, police said.
