The Gary/Chicago International Airport is serving as the staging site for the Chicago Air Show, and is inviting residents to watch participating airplanes take-off and land during the weekend show.

The airport is charging a $20 per car parking fee for Saturday's and Sunday's shows. The airport will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with show-related activities taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Food trucks will also be on site. The airport is located at 6001 Airport Road, Gary.

The 2025 Chicago Air and Water Show is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the city's lakeshore, focused on North Avenue Beach.
