Evil is afoot in Maine’s capital city.

But it’s not the usual suspects (your least liked political party). No, it’s something more sinister than the machinations of state government.

A doll.

This isn’t any ordinary doll. It’s the Annabelle. She’s out, and she’s coming to the Augusta Civic Center for the Maine Paranormal and Horror Convention from Sept. 6-7.

The infamous paranormal artifact is kept under lock and key in a specially blessed case at the New England Society for Psychic Research.

“This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” event organizers said. “Annabelle rarely leaves her secure location, and after this year, she’s not coming back out.”
