People are calling on the Government to change England’s disabled bus pass so it can be used at any time on weekdays. Currently the bus pass is only valid after 9.30am in the week.

A petition online has gained almost 800 signatures from people who believe the change could "foster independence, social inclusion, and increased productivity," as disabled people would be able to travel for free to jobs and colleges on time.

It comes as MPs are currently calling on the Government to fund free bus travel for everyone under the age of 22 in England. Free bus travel would improve young people’s access to “work and skills opportunities,” according to the Transport Select Committee.
