It is with great sadness this morning that we note the passing of longtime Ohio Valley newsman Jim “Bugs” Cochran. Jim served the residents of Marshall County for 72 years as a reporter at the Journal office and also a columnist through his weekly “Marshall Memo.” We will have a detailed story on Jim and his lifetime of contributions to Marshall County next week. Jim filed his final “Marshall Memo” column Thursday afternoon and it will publish in this weekend’s Sunday News-Register in his honor.
