Drinkmate has issued a recall on its 1-liter carbonation bottles due to a potential explosion hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled bottles can explode during use, which poses a serious risk for impact injuries, lacerations and hearing damage for users and bystanders.

So far, there have been eight reports of bottles exploding during use, with four of those resulting in injuries or hearing damage.

The recalled products were sold online via retailers like iDrinkProducts.com, Walmart, Amazon, Target and Home Depot between April of 2023 and October of 2024 for about $20 individually or $130 as part of some Drinkmate Ominifizz starter kits.
