Avalon Pier announces 16th birthday party for teen wounded in July 31 shooting

On Aug. 12, Avalon Pier posted a Facebook announcement that it is throwing a birthday party for the Pennsylvania teen who was wounded in the leg during the July 31 shooting at the Pier. He was hospitalized for the injury and subsequently released.

In the case, Henry Hargis, 16, has been indicted for First-Degree Murder in the fatal shooting of Zane Hughes, 19. He was also indicted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury in the shooting of the bystander.
