Charles Lester Smith, named affectionately after both his grandfathers, a loving husband and father and grandfather, dedicated educator, and dear friend, passed away on August 12, 2025.

Chuck, born on April 20, 1953, in Ogden, UT, dedicated most of his life to nurturing the minds of young learners and touching the hearts of those around him. Chuck resided in Utah, living in Sunset and later settling in Hooper. He stood as a pillar of patience and gentleness, a man who never raised his voice. Chuck was not just a good man; he was a good friend, a person who appreciated the beauty of friendship and treasured every relationship he built over his lifetime. He attended Doxey Elementary, Sunset Elementary, Sunset Jr. High, and graduated from Clearfield
